Job summary

Ramboll in Americas is seeking a senior civil/environmental engineer to lead technical linear infrastructure designs for municipal and industrial clients in the Virginia/Maryland area. You will supervise design development, calculations, and QA/QC, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements include a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, 8+ years of water/wastewater/stormwater design with trenchless rehabilitation, and a VA/DC/MD PE license.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering and 8+ years of experience with water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design including gravity and pressure pipelines.
• Proficiency in understanding Federal, State, and local environmental regulations as they apply to Municipal and Industrial clients.
• Knowledge and experience with major national and industrial engineering design codes, standards, guidelines, and best practices for complex structures.
• PE license in VA, DC and/or MD; ability to obtain multiple licenses via reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical linear infrastructure designs and preparation of contract documents for municipal and industrial clients.
• Assist in development of design concepts, criteria, analysis methods, and constructability reviews.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, engineering reports, and construction plans with QA/QC and value engineering reviews.
• Perform bid phase and construction phase services.
• Support business development, proposals, project estimating and planning.
• Coordinate and mentor technical staff and project teams with other Project Managers.
• Stay current with engineering standards and emerging technologies through professional societies.
