Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC in the DC metro area is seeking an Engineer to join the Clark Water team on complex projects. You will gain a comprehensive view of our business from day one, with hands-on field experience on active sites and exposure to project management, budgeting, procurement, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree or master's with expected graduation Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Interest and passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: understanding day-to-day and long-term management of construction projects.
• Financial Management: review gross billings, track change orders, subcontractor requisitions.
• Document Control: manage submittals, RFIs, and material tracking.
• Trade Partner Success: advise subcontractors for successful field installation.
• Field Management: learn site logistics, ensure quality and safety on jobsites.
• Quality Control and Safety: monitor tradeworkers for quality and safety.
• Project Schedule: assist with schedule management and site logistics.
• Critical Thinking: resolve unforeseen challenges in installation, schedule, and coordination.
• Project Development: understand how we acquire work, develop strategies, and build client relationships.
• Budgeting: review initial contracts, bids.
• Estimating: perform quantity takeoffs, prepare bids, price labor/materials.
• Purchasing: execute subcontractor agreements, review scope, manage relationships.
• Business Operations: understand essential functions keeping Clark running.
