Job summary

Harris & Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I, II or III to support water resources projects in California. You will assist Project Managers and Engineers, prepare plans, specs and estimates, and contribute to technical memoranda and design calculations.

The role requires a civil engineering degree and may prefer an Engineer in Training certification, with 0–5 years of relevant experience. AutoCAD proficiency is essential for producing design drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• EIT license preferred.
• 0-5 years of relevant engineering/technical experience.
• Experience with water-related design and construction drawings helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supports Clients and Projects while assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Supports preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for design and construction drawings.
• Prepares technical memoranda, basis of designs reports, and preliminary engineering reports.
• Assists with engineering calculations and process-driven solutions.
• Interprets data, solves problems, and respects project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Applies basic design principles to support client objectives.
