Walker Partners in Austin, TX is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our engineering, survey, and construction management teams, focusing on electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities such as treatment plants and pump stations.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, reliable infrastructure designs and oversee on-site observations during construction, with an emphasis on practical, cost-effective improvements and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiarity with electrical modelling software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or EasyPower.
• Experience with photometric software such as AGI 32, Visual, or Elum Tools.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Evaluate existing electrical systems and develop practical, cost-effective improvements to support facility rehabilitation or expansion.
• Support preparation of electrical plans, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Conduct on-site observations of construction progress.
