Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Design and Program Manager to lead our Civil Design Practice from a Buffalo, NY base, with flexibility to work in nearby Rochester or Syracuse. The role is hybrid and supports Northeast US projects, focusing on municipal water, wastewater and stormwater design with leadership of engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer in NY or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Proven experience delivering engineering reports, design drawings, specs and other deliverables
• Experience in stormwater, water, wastewater or flood protection projects
• Valid US driver’s license; must pass MVR

Responsibilities

• Lead complex design projects from planning through permitting and construction
• Mentor junior engineers and design staff
• Interface with clients and regulatory agencies on presentations
• Design of civil and stormwater systems and pipe conveyance
• Prepare engineering plans, specs, and cost estimates
• Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with design standards
