Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Program Manager (Water/Wastewater) in the New York/New Jersey area to lead large, multi-year capital programs from planning through construction. You will coordinate design, procurement, and delivery, liaising with clients and stakeholders to align scope, schedule and budget.

The role requires PE licensure within 6 months, extensive water/wastewater experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-disciplinary teams and complex projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering and extensive experience in planning, design and delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer and ability to obtain NY/NJ PE license within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, collection and distribution systems.
• Proven client/consultant relations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead large capital programs from planning through design and construction to final completion.
• Identify and assess major program risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop optimal approaches to program technologies, budgets, schedules and procurement.
• Act as primary liaison between AECOM, client, and principal stakeholders.
• Provide oversight, metrics and reporting on scope, schedule and budget.
