Job summary

Suburban Water Systems, a division of Nexus Water Group, is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Designer to join our Engineering team in Covina, CA. The role focuses on designing pipelines, wells, and water facilities using CAD, supporting construction and field work.

You will contribute to engineering studies, site surveys, and cost estimates while developing expertise in water infrastructure and ensuring safe, reliable water supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline, or Associate degree with 3+ years of civil/utility/CAD design experience.
• Able to obtain SWRCB Operator 1 and Treatment 1 within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering plans and construction drawings for pipelines, wells, reservoirs, pump stations, valve stations, and related water facilities.
• Develop plan and profile drawings, site plans, details, and construction exhibits.
• Research existing utility infrastructure and develop accurate project base maps.
• Review record drawings, GIS data, and utility records to support project design.
