Job summary

The Senior CAD Designer role at Brown and Caldwell will contribute to the development of civil drawings for water and wastewater utility projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. You will set up and maintain complex civil models, coordinate piping and grading, perform surface analysis, and verify survey data as part of a cross-discipline team.

Proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD is essential; the role involves mentorship and collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in civil engineering technology, civil drafting, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of civil design experience.
• Experience with Civil 3D/AutoCAD software.

Responsibilities

• Set up, create, and maintain complex civil models for piping or grading.
• Verify survey data and GIS information for design integration.
• Coordinate electrical duct bank layouts with the electrical engineer.
• Execute detailed grading using feature lines, corridors, and grading objects.
• Perform vehicle tracking analysis for clearance and functionality.
• Conduct visual clash detection and verify ground cover of piping.
