Modernistic Cleaning & Restoration in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Experienced Water & Fire Restoration Technician to join our team. You will respond to residential and commercial property damage, perform extraction, mitigation, and drying tasks, and help restore homes with a focus on exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in restoration, are physically capable, adaptable to after-hours work, and committed to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in restoration (water, fire, mold) preferred.
• Willingness to learn the entire restoration process.
• Able to work after hours as needed (time-and-a-half/bonuses).
• Knowledge of restoration/construction basics helpful but not required.
• Excellent communication and dependable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Respond to water or fire damage at residential and commercial properties.
• Emergency service response, water extraction, light demolition, and drying equipment placement.
• Perform mitigation services to IICRC standards.
• Provide detailed daily notes on job progress.
• Follow documentation procedures (paper and electronic).
• Educate customers on additional services Modernistic can offer.
• Follow all safety practices and industry standards on-site.
• Keep vehicle clean and stocked with needed equipment.
