Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore® in Nashville seeks a restoration technician to stabilize sites, perform water and fire mitigation, and manage demo and cleaning. You will inspect, document, and complete restoration work while keeping customers at ease.

You will work with a team to ensure safety and quality, handling after-hours emergencies and maintaining equipment and supplies. Training and advancement opportunities are provided along with a competitive pay and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Dependability and strong work ethic are essential.
• Experience in restoration/construction not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Good verbal and written communication and customer service skills are necessary.
• Ability to read and follow product label usage instructions.
• Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free required.
• Certifications preferred: WTR, ASD.

Responsibilities

• Be dependable and on time for all assignments.
• Retrieve work orders, plan route, load necessary equipment and supplies, and arrive prepared.
• Explain mitigation processes to customers and answer questions.
• Safely complete jobs according to protocol while maintaining quality control.
• Handle water extraction, pack-out contents, and cleaning of salvageable materials.

Position Overview

When disaster strikes somebody’s home or office, we are first on the scene. You are part of the team that swoops in to save the day. A technician stabilizes the chaos by performing water/fire mitigation and other types of organized demo and cleaning. Inspect, assess, and complete restoration work and put the customer at ease.

Job Responsibilities

• Be dependable.
• Retrieves work orders, checks route for travel, ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck needed for job, arrives on time at work site.
• Explain mitigation process to customers and answer questions.
• Safely completes assigned jobs according to protocol, while maintaining quality control on each job.
• Scope typically includes water extraction, pack-out contents, removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials, cleaning of salvageable materials.
• Participate in our on-call rotation, responding to after-hours and weekend emergency losses.
• Ensures equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled. Reports any equipment malfunction and or damage to the supervisor.
• Inspects jobs after completion obtains customer signatures for approval purposes.
• Performs daily monitoring and tasks on assigned water jobs to residential and/or commercial customers with urgency.
• Resolves issues with customers, communicates customer issues, and daily job activities with supervisor and key company staff.
• Prepares documentation and pictures according to company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Dependability.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn; Experience in the restoration or construction industry not required.
• Valid Driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal written and communication skills.Good customer service skills.
• Can read and safely follow product label usage instructions.
• Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.

Certifications Are Not Required But Preferred

• WTR – Water Damage Restoration Technician.
• ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician.

Compensation And Incentives
