Job summary

Fine Line Restoration Inc, doing business as Rainbow Restoration of Shoreview, seeks a skilled Water and Fire Mitigation Technician for New Brighton, MN. This role involves hands-on work helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and other property damage in a fast-paced environment.

The technician will set up drying equipment, conduct moisture readings, perform controlled demolition, and communicate progress with clients and insurers.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in water/fire mitigation, restoration, or a related trade preferred.
• IICRC certification (WRT, ASD) is a plus but not required — willingness to obtain is expected
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Ability to be on-call and respond to emergency situations in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Perform water, fire, and mold mitigation services on residential and commercial properties
• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters
• Conduct moisture readings and document damage assessments throughout the mitigation process
• Perform controlled demolition including removal of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation
• Communicate professionally with property owners and insurance adjusters on job progress
• Maintain, clean, and organize equipment and company vehicles
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours and weekend dispatch as needed
