Job summary

Responsibilities

• Install sanitary sewer and water pipes and all appurtenances.
• Maintain records of supplies, tools, parts, equipment and materials.
• Assist with work orders and customer service orders.
• Lay out pipe routes and coordinate with supervisor.
• Cut and fit pipes; align during construction.
• Check slopes and ensure conformance using levels/lasers.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints; tap and drill holes as needed.
• Cover pipes with earth or other materials; grade trench bases.
• Assist with traffic control and maintenance; train others in pipe-laying techniques.
