Job summary

City of Richardson Texas is seeking a Field Service Representative (Full Time) to connect and disconnect consumer water services, read meters, and manage account requests in an outdoor setting. You will work under the Field Service Supervisor and interact with residents daily.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid Texas Class C driver's license, and the ability to walk long distances while reading meters.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas Class C driver’s license required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read meters accurately and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive route weekly to obtain readings and use meter software for billing.
• Walk an average of 5 miles per day to read meters.
• Reread meters when customers report issues.
• Explain findings to customers and educate on consumption causes.
• Operate field service orders via electronic devices.
• Safely operate city vehicle and equipment.
• Climb ladders and lift up to 60 pounds.
