Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to support capital improvement projects by participating in site visits, preparing project plans, and assisting with design and construction documents.

The role includes reviewing drawings, attending plant and construction site visits, data synthesis, and providing technical support. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited degree program, able to commit to at least 20 hours per week and a minimum of two months.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a related degree program.
• A student in good standing and rising sophomore or higher.
• Able to commit to at least 20 hours per week and two months.
• Preferred 30 hours per week and two months minimum.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering team with design document development and RFP specifications.
• Review shop drawings and construction submittals.
• Attend plant site visits to collect design information.
• Attend construction site meetings for verification and updates.
• Data synthesis and analysis, supporting document review and development.
