Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority is offering an internship to support wastewater engineering through field and office tasks, documentation, and project coordination. The role works with engineers and operations staff to gather information, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate records.

The intern must be enrolled in an accredited degree program, be in good standing and able to commit to at least 20 hours per week for a minimum of two months. Compensation is based on experience at $17.55/hour.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program (associate, bachelor’s or master’s).
• Student in good standing and rising sophomore or higher.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and take notes; respond to information requests; gather information; perform miscellaneous field work.
• Review drawings and specifications; assist engineers and project managers; develop spreadsheets or documents; assist operations and maintenance crews in troubleshooting.
• Review O&M manuals and historical information for facilities; help with project coordination and documentation.
