Job summary

Garver’s Water Team in Frisco, TX is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to gain real-world design experience in a fast-paced, professional setting, contributing to projects that improve your region’s water infrastructure.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, assist with a wide range of water projects, receive mentorship and training, and have opportunities to visit Garver’s water project sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor’s in civil/environmental/biosystems engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.
• Assist with a wide array of water projects to gain real-world environmental and civil engineering experience.

Water Engineering Intern

Internship Description:

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.
• Gain real-world environmental and civil engineering experience through assisting with a wide array of water projects.
• Receive training from our experienced water staff and project managers.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry.
• Visit some of Garver’s Water project sites.

• Engage daily with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build your network.
• Participate in Garver's acclaimed wellness program, empowering you to prioritize your overall well‑being.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering bachelor’s degree in an ABET accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Work Environment

This is an in‑office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work‑related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
