Job summary

Finlay Jude Recruitment Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for a Water Efficiency Technician. You will conduct Home Water Efficiency Checks at customers' properties and provide advice on water usage with savings recommendations.

The role requires a Level 2 plumbing qualification, strong communication, at least one year of customer-facing experience, a manual driving licence, and the ability to obtain a DBS check; a national water hygiene card is

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in plumbing.
• Strong communication skills.
• At least one year of customer-facing experience.
• A manual driving licence.
• Able to obtain and pass a clean DBS check.
• National water hygiene card is preferable (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Conduct Home Water Efficiency Checks at customers’ properties.
• Conduct water efficiency surveys by engaging customers with behavioural questions and provide advice on water usage along with recommendations for potential savings.
• Measure water flow rates accurately.
• Inspect for and repair minor leaks.
• Install water-saving devices and products.
• Use handheld digital tools to record water flow measurements and report findings accurately.
• Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and suppliers to arrange further works where required.
• Maintain and manage stock of water-saving equipment and ensure correct usage and documentation.
• Always adhere to Health and Safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
