Job summary

The Walsh Group, Water Division in Dallas, TX is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to guide multidisciplinary teams through the preconstruction phase of Collaborative Delivery Projects. They may help secure new business and influence project direction and profitability.

You will coordinate estimators, project management, and proposal staff, review bid documents, and develop strategic, competitive proposals. Some travel to bidding regions may be required.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience or 5 years’ experience with college degree.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Exposure to Preconstruction stage of a project
• Familiarity with estimating and scheduling software
• Understands Costs and Market Conditions
• Ability to prioritize, develop and maintain schedules

Responsibilities

• Coordinates teams of estimators, project management, and proposal staff to secure collaborative delivery projects.
• Reviews bid documents and assesses project risks for bid alternatives.
• Proofreads and edits proposals to ensure competitive, high-quality submissions.
• Builds relationships with subcontractors, engineers, and owners.
• Prepares bid packages with analysis of competitive bids and historical data.
• Coordinates with project sponsorship on schedule and final bid preparation.
