Sharyland Water Supply Corporation is seeking a Water Maintenance Technician - Distribution to keep water flowing safely across our service area. You will perform hands-on field work and respond rapidly to issues, with daily tasks focused on maintaining and repairing the distribution network.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and familiarity with water systems. Expect outdoor work, occasional emergencies, and on-call shifts as part of a dedicated team serving the community.

Formación

• Familiarity with water distribution systems and safe work around buried utilities.
• Strong record-keeping abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform emergency repairs safely and efficiently.

Responsabilidades

• Install and repair water mains, valves, fittings, clamps, sleeves, service lines, and meters.
• Complete routine taps, tie-ins, line flushing, backfill, and site restoration.
• Cut, bevel, thread, and join pipe; replace angle stops and meter boxes.
• Locate underground utilities (hand-digging/vac methods) and set traffic control.
• Operate and maintain tools/equipment (dump/boom trucks; backhoe/boring/trenching equipment).
• Document work and respond to after-hours emergencies during on-call rotation.
