Sharyland Water Supply Corporation in Texas is hiring a Water Maintenance Technician - Distribution to keep safe, reliable water flowing across our service area. You’ll perform field work, install and repair mains, valves, meters, and coordinate with crews to restore service efficiently.

Day-to-day duties include responding to emergencies on-call, recording work, and maintaining equipment. The role requires safety awareness, physical stamina, and ability to work outdoors in heat, rain, or cold.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Familiarity with water distribution and safe work around buried utilities.
• Strong record-keeping and ability to perform emergency repairs safely.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair water mains, valves, fittings, clamps, sleeves, service lines, and meters.
• Complete routine taps, tie-ins, line flushing, backfill and site restoration.
• Locate underground utilities and set traffic control.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment and respond to emergencies during on-call rotations.
