Job summary

Veoliaenvironnementsa is seeking a physically demanding Field Technician to install, repair, and maintain water distribution assets. The role requires carpentry, plumbing, and heavy equipment experience, with an emphasis on safety and accurate record-keeping.

The position involves outdoor work in varying conditions, CDL/licensing is encouraged, and overtime or emergency response may be required. High school diploma or GED is a minimum requirement and prior utility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven construction experience.
• Water utility pipeline experience preferred.
• CDL Class A and/or distribution license preferred or obtainable within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Repair, tap and install mains and service lines and maintain valves and hydrants.
• Assist with excavation restoration in grass, sidewalks, roads and rights of way.
• Perform carpentry, painting and plumbing as needed.
• Conduct flow tests, leak surveys and field water quality tests.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and locations of facilities.
