Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is hiring a Utility Technician to support the distribution department. You will help install and maintain water distribution piping, valves, hydrants, and services, while using tablets to manage work orders and communications.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and either a CDL or the ability to obtain one within six months. The role requires physical work, overtime, and the potential for additional certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• CDL or ability to obtain one within six months.
• Competent person certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Must have no more than one disciplinary action in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water distribution facilities (mains, valves, hydrants, services).
• Maintain equipment and vehicles; process work orders and emails.
• Lift up to 100 lbs and perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Report unusual conditions in the distribution system; be available for emergencies and overtime.
• Other duties as assigned to grow skills with experience.
