Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Distribution Technician to support water distribution facilities and booster stations. You will read maps, perform field service and meter readings, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety policies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain required licenses per bargaining unit rules. On-call and weekend rotations may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver's license required; CDL-A may be required per agreement.
• OEPA Class I Distribution License or ability to obtain per agreement.
• Competent person certification or ability to obtain per agreement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate water distribution facilities and booster stations.
• Read maps/schematics and document activities in the system.
• Perform field service, meter readings, and customer interactions as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with OEPA/PUCO regulations and safety policies.
• Complete work orders and update system documentation regularly.
• Attend on-call shifts and provide support across sites.
