Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) seeks a Pump and Reservoir Technician to inspect and maintain 30 water reservoirs and 26 pump stations. This role blends independent fieldwork with an operations team to diagnose system anomalies and support distribution improvements.

Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, piping, valves, reservoirs, and related infrastructure, while documenting findings and following SOPs.

Qualifications

• Five years’ field experience with water distribution/pumping systems.
• Current Water Distribution II certification required; eligible to test and obtain WDIV within 5 years.
• Current Treatment Operator II certification; able to test/obtain WDIV within 5 years.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Desirable certifications in Oregon drinking water programs and electrical licenses.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and maintain pumps, reservoirs, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot pump, motor, valve, and hydraulic issues in the distribution system.
• Design and manage maintenance programs; assist with capital projects.
• Operate and monitor the water system using SCADA; support 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Document findings with SOPs and field records.
