The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) seeks candidates for the Water Utility Mechanic role to perform construction and maintenance on water facilities, independently or in crews of 3–4. Duties include operating heavy equipment, installing and repairing water mains, valves, and related systems.

Qualifications

• One year of skilled construction or utility experience.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL; must obtain Tanker Endorsement within 30 days of hire.
• Post-offer background check required.
• Post-offer physical required; training certificates required upon progression.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, install, and repair utilities using trucks, backhoes, track-hoes, vac-trucks, cranes, breakers, and other equipment.
• Assist other departments with emergency and non-emergency work.
• Work as part of a 3–4 person crew or independently as needed.
