Responsibilities

• Learns to perform the tasks related to maintaining and operating a water distribution system.
• Learns proper use of tools and equipment required for the job.
• Under direction, participates in installation, repairs and replacement of water mains, services, valves, hydrants and meters.
• Interacts with customers and represents the Company.
• Performs basic customer support related to water distribution equipment and facilities.
• Locates water mains and service lines.
• Performs routine maintenance such as system flushing, valve exercising and hydrant maintenance.
• Inspects and tests equipment and records data.
• Notifies customers of outages and coordinated shutoffs.
• Operates company vehicles and equipment per safety policies.
