Job summary

Golden State Water Company is seeking an entry-level Water Distribution Operator I to learn and operate our water distribution system under supervision. The role includes participation in maintenance, meter reads, customer interactions, and emergency response.

Training status applies with supervision, and the candidate must reside within 25 miles of the service boundary. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication, basic PC skills, and a valid California

Responsibilities

• Learns to perform the tasks involved in maintaining and operating a water distribution system.
• Assists in installation, repairs and replacement of water mains, services, valves, hydrants and meters.
• Interacts with customers and represents the Company.
• Performs meter reads and field investigations.
• Available for emergency response 24/7 and resides within 25 miles of the service area.
