Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. in Missouri seeks an Operator to oversee daily water production and distribution, including wells, pumps, lift stations and reservoirs.

The role requires responding to emergencies, maintaining equipment, and assisting customers with water quality concerns, while upholding safety standards and record-keeping. Valid Missouri Operator’s License Class E or CDL is required; Tanker endorsement preferred or to be obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, water treatment and/or water distribution preferred.
• Ability to read and understand reports, maps and drawings.
• Ability to perform general math calculations and water-related computations.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of all well sites, reservoirs, and booster stations, noting motor run times and pump operation.
• Assist customers with concerns of water supply, quality or pressure.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs at sites, including chlorine systems and pumps.
• Maintain accurate daily records at well and reservoir sites.
• General site maintenance and upkeep per safety policies.
