Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. is seeking an Operator to maintain water wells, chemical feeder equipment, pumps, motors, telemetry sensors, and wastewater facilities.

The role includes on-call work, night/weekend shifts, and adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements. Qualified candidates will have ADEQ Grade 2 Operator License in the appropriate area, a valid driver’s license, and relevant experience in water/wastewater operations.

Qualifications

• ADEQ Grade 2 Operator License in relevant area (Wastewater or Water Treatment).
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL may be required.
• Experience with wells, pumps, chlorine generators, and related plumbing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water wells, pumps, motors, and telemetry equipment.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of water/wastewater facilities.
• Conduct daily inspections and record readings; prepare reports and logs.
• Provide guidance to peers when needed and respond to on-call needs.
