Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent relevant water utility experience.
• Five years of experience in field operations, customer service, or related department.
• One year of increasingly responsible supervisory experience.
• State Water Resources Control Board certifications: Grade II Water Distribution, Grade III Water Distribution, Grade II Water Treatment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee district operations, including capital construction and maintenance in the distribution system.
• Provide updates to the District Manager and support critical decision-making.
• Supervise field operations and maintenance programs for mains, services, valves, and flushing.
• Coordinate with agencies, inspectors, and contractors; ensure regulatory compliance and safety.
• Manage budget planning, rate case support, and continuous improvement projects.
• Be available for on-call duties and perform on-site work as required.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal skills

Valid California Driver License

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent water utility experience

Five years of experience in field operations / water utility

One year of supervisory experience

SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade II Certification

SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade III Certification

SWRCB Water Treatment Operator Grade II Certification
