Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Must obtain Flagger Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Class 1 Wastewater Collection Certification within one year from the date of hire.
• Class 3 Water ORC Distribution Certification from the Colorado DOH&E and maintain certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Write SOPs for optimal system operation and update plans and reports.
• Provide cross-training and guidance on certification processes.
• Maintain records as required by the state and develop operating plans before delegating tasks.
• Report non‑compliance to the Deputy City Administrator and state as required.
• Participate in capital improvements, asset management, and contingency planning for the water system.
• Schedule inspections and assist with surveys; supervise day‑to‑day distribution operations and water quality.
