Town of Camp Verde in Arizona is seeking a skilled Water Utilities Worker to support the maintenance of the water distribution system. The role involves operating heavy equipment, installing and repairing meters, hydrants, and service lines, and maintaining pumping/storage facilities.

The candidate will read maps and diagrams, follow safety regulations, and perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance. Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED and relevant field experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent plus 1 year of general work experience.
• Experience with water infrastructure projects or utility maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations for utility maintenance and operation of water systems.
• Ability to read maps, diagrams, and regulations.
• Experience with various field equipment such as pumps, generators, backhoes, and hand tools.

Responsabilités

• Inspects, samples, maintains, and repairs activities in and on public works water facilities and equipment.
• Operates heavy equipment and machinery used in water system maintenance.
• Installs, reads, tests, and repairs water meters and hydrants.
• Maintains water pumping and storage facilities; performs routine vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Performs general mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs and diagnoses.
• Reads maps/diagrams/regulations; ensures safety and environmental compliance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
