Qualifications

• High school graduate with vocational training in pipefitting, electrical, or internal combustion engine crafts.
• Two years' experience in pipefitting or general maintenance mechanic with some pipefitting.
• Must have a valid Arizona driver's license with clean record.
• Must have at least a Grade 1 Water Distribution System Operators Certificate from ADEQ; Grade 2 required before UW III wage step.

Responsibilities

• General operation and maintenance of the water distribution system, including mains, services, hydrants, and fittings.
• Record changes on maps and records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps and equipment.
• Install or replace service lines and meters.
• Make turn-ons/offs per work orders to connect/disconnect service.
• May operate purification or treatment equipment.
• Maintain materials inventory and associated paperwork.
• Perform Field Service Technician duties after hours as needed.
