Job summary

BELFOR Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Water Damage Technician to provide operational support in mitigation efforts for clients in the United States, including New York. This role involves pumping and extracting water, mold remediation, and using specialized equipment under supervision to support BELFOR’s water damage services.

Qualifications

• Must be able to identify consumables, usage and disposal requirements with training.
• Must have knowledge of various pump systems.
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR policy.
• Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• English language literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from team leader.
• Understand MSDS protocols for products used during mitigation.
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
• Demonstrate mastery of the BELFOR Damage Book.
• Under supervision, use equipment and discharge/drainage systems.
• Build containment systems using appropriate calculations and equipment.
• Use cleaning and disinfecting solutions and debris removal techniques.
• Use lifting techniques and protect client belongings.
• Install Injectidry, Directed-In and Octi-Dry systems as needed.
• Comply with BELFOR standards to safeguard property.
• Travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Report time worked and equipment usage accurately.
• Attend BELFOR operations and necessary training.
