Job summary

Stantec seeks a Civil Engineer – EIT to join the Water and Wastewater discipline in Phoenix, AZ. You will deliver civil/ conveyance designs, perform analyses, support field investigations, and prepare technical documentation with engineers and project managers.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in engineering, 0–2 years of experience, and an EIT‑within‑6‑months requirement. Office‑based with some field exposure, you’ll grow technical judgment and contribute to major water infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 0–2 years of related experience; co‑op, internship, or project‑based civil engineering experience preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training certification expected within six months of hire.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Apply civil engineering principles including hydraulics, surveying and topographic mapping, geotechnical considerations, grading, and utility investigations.
• Develop and draw engineering plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation.
• Prepare reports and design documentation including pipe design criteria and calculations.
• Conduct due diligence and data gathering to support project foundations.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and utility providers to obtain project information.
