Job summary

East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is seeking a Water Conservation Technician for a temporary period of up to six months in the Water Conservation Division. The role reviews and processes rebate applications, performs residential audits, and provides basic conservation advice to customers.

It also supports outreach activities such as information booths and educational exhibits while maintaining program data.

Qualifications

• Completion of the twelfth grade or its equivalent.
• California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Physically capable of climbing stairs and moving water meter covers; willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer questions about water conservation via phone, email, and in person.
• Processes rebate applications for water conservation programs and assists customers with questions.
• Conducts routine residential water audits and distributes water-saving devices and materials.
• Sets up and staffs information booths at events and maintains program data in databases.
• Enter data into automated work management systems and support clerical tasks.
