Job summary

State of Utah, Salt Lake City, is seeking a Water Conservation Coordinator to run grant programs, oversee conservation plans, and aid in public outreach. This role focuses on water sustainability and requires initiative and collaboration with water providers and communities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely.
• General knowledge of water in Utah.
• Professional experience in water conservation.
• Experience running programs and managing deadlines.
• B.S. or higher in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run the Transparent Water Billing Grant Program: set application windows, review applications, monitor contracts, meet with applicants, review final reports for compliance.
• Oversee Water Conservation Plans: track plans, notify systems of due dates, review plans for compliance with the Water Conservation Plan Act.
• Review rebates: coordinate with team to review rebate applications and ensure compliance.
• Public Outreach: represent the division at events, present on water conservation, teach Localscapes classes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
