Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer a citywide backflow prevention program.
  • Ensure compliance with water protection and cross-connection control requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, certification, tracking, and enforcement.
  • Maintain electronic records of assemblies, testing results, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with testers, property owners, and contractors.
  • Investigate cross-connection risks and respond to threats or failures.
  • Recommend ordinance, policy, and operational improvements.
  • Design and expand conservation programs and outreach efforts.
  • Prepare reports and present to City Council and public meetings.
