Job summary

Alabama Power is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Specialist to support water compliance programs at the Birmingham HQ. The role involves assisting in regulatory compliance, permit applications, and environmental training across departments.

It requires collaboration with regulators and internal teams to ensure adherence to SPCC, NEPA, CWA, NHPA and ESA classifications. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in engineering or science, with a PE license in Alabama a plus, and experience in

Responsibilities

• Assist with and/or administer water compliance programs and permits.
• Prepare water permit applications and reports as needed.
• Provide training and presentations on environmental compliance to internal/external customers.
• Interpret regulations and interface with regulatory agencies.
