Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking a Project Engineer to support water source-of-supply systems and asset management initiatives. You will work with Operations, consultants, and contractors to deliver complex capital projects across reservoirs, tunnels, and pipelines, with hybrid office and field work in various Colorado locations.

The role offers progression from Project Engineer I to Senior Engineer based on qualifications, with salary commensurate to experience and a potential hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer in CO or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months (preferred).
• Experience with capital projects, infrastructure, and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects supporting source-of-supply systems.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate consultants/contractors and manage procurement and schedules.
• Communicate with internal/external stakeholders and lead project delivery.
