HDR, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a CAD Water Intern to support design teams by creating 2D and 3D drawings with AutoCAD Civil 3D and producing construction drawings.

You will collaborate with engineers, EITs, and project managers to interpret engineering concepts and apply changes. The role requires current enrollment in a CAD degree or certificate program with at least 1 year toward degree and a 3.0+ GPA; familiarity with engineering design, drawing reviews, and basic Microsoft Office skills

Qualifications

• 1 year completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Currently enrolled in a CAD degree or certificate program
• Ability to learn and understand engineering concepts and design
• Ability to review and produce accurate drawings, dimensions, and specifications while adhering to project standards, design criteria, and detailed instructions
• Basic Microsoft Office skills

Responsabilités

• Create technical drawings: Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce construction drawings
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, EITs, project managers and other CAD users to interpret and develop engineering concepts and designs
• Design review and revision: Update and correct drawings based on redlines, mark-ups, feedback, scope and/or design changes
• Communicate: ask questions, effectively share ideas, convey information to other team members
• Perform other duties as needed
