Job summary

Qualifications

• Adhering to aquatic safety practices and procedures.
• Administering first aid and performing water rescue techniques.
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Instruct class activities to enforce established policies and ensure safety.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary until additional assistance arrives.
• Ensure compliance with district and health department safety requirements for aquatic facilities.
• Communicate safety concerns, rule violations, or incidents to supervisors and appropriate staff.
• Work cooperatively with other lifeguards and aquatic staff to ensure proper supervision of pool activities.
• Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and professional development related to aquatic safety and program operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the aquatic facility.
