Job summary

Racine Unified School District in Wisconsin seeks a Water Aerobics Instructor to design engaging classes for all ages and abilities. You will create lesson plans, lead workouts, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment in the community pool.

You will collaborate with the Aquatic Facility Director to schedule programs, maintain certifications, and support staff. Must be at least 17 and capable of assisting in water rescues; lifeguard certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching water aerobics or aquatic fitness to diverse community groups.
• Ability to create inclusive lesson plans for various skill levels.
• Must be at least 17 years old and able to assist in water rescues.

Water Aerobics Instructors are responsible for:

• Create lesson plans and classes to accommodate a diverse community.
• Create and keep a safe environment for the community and staff.
• Work with the Aquatic Facility Director to schedule classes and programs.
• Maintaining a current certification in fitness training or water aerobics.
• Teach water aerobics and other aquatic fitness classes to a wide range of community members.
• Communicating effectively with students, students, staff and the community.
• Assist aquatic center management team and staff with tasks as needed.
• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must be able to assist in water rescues as needed
• Must be able to get and maintain a fitness and or water aerobics instructor certification from a nationally recognized organization
• Possession of a Red Cross Lifeguard certification preferred
