Job summary

City and County of Broomfield seeks a Water Aerobics Fitness Instructor to lead engaging classes at Paul Derda Recreation Center, Broomfield Community Center, or Bay Aquatic Park this summer.

Applicants should hold ACE/AFAA/AEA national certifications and First Aid/CPR within 30 days of hire; experience is preferred, and substitution for other instructors is possible. Pay ranges from $22.20 to $30.04 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a current national fitness/aquatic certification (ACE, AFAA, or AEA).
• Must possess a First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire, and maintain for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead cardiovascular and/or muscle conditioning exercises appropriate for class level.
• Instruct participants in proper exercise heart rates.
• Monitor participants for safe equipment use and technique.
• Provide feedback to class participants.
• Maintain current attendance records.
• Demonstrate exercises (aerobic, dancing, stepping, running, swimming, weight training) as per class format.
