Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivating Water Aerobics Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective water-based fitness classes for a diverse group of participants. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health and wellness, have experience leading group fitness classes, and possess the ability to adapt exercises for various fitness levels.

• Plan and lead water aerobics classes that promote fitness, flexibility, and fun.
• Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to ensure safety and proper technique.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all ages and abilities.
• Monitor class participants and respond to any health or safety concerns.
• Set up and maintain any necessary equipment before and after class.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
• Communicate effectively with facility staff and class participants.

Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching water aerobics or group fitness classes preferred.
• Certification in Group Fitness Instruction, Water Fitness, or Aquatic Exercise (e.g., AEA, ACE, AFAA) preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and reliably within a part-time schedule.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a pool environment and may involve lifting light equipment and being on your feet for extended periods.

Compensation

Hourly pay based on experience and certifications.
