Job summary

Valcourt Group is seeking a Waterproofing Installer to support installation of waterproofing treatments and assist in related applications across building and parking structures. The role involves leak investigations, water testing, and working with a range of waterproofing chemicals under established procedures.

Candidate will perform exterior repairs, operate access equipment (training provided), and ensure safety and compliance with building codes and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must have physical ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Ability to work with waterproofing materials and coatings.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Willingness to work extended and non-standard hours.
• Valid driver’s license is advantageous.
• Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing and coatings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install waterproofing treatments using equipment per procedures.
• Perform leak investigations, water testing and repairs for water infiltration.
• Assist in waterproofing application and work with a range of chemicals and coatings.
• Perform minor exterior repairs for concrete, masonry, sealant, and waterproofing on buildings and parking structures.
• Work at height using boom lifts, scissor lifts, scaffolds or other access equipment (training provided).
• Conduct integrity testing and troubleshooting on waterproofing membranes/coatings.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in working order and arrange for replacements when needed.
• Adhere to health and safety practices and applicable laws and regulations.

Job description

Responsible for the installation of various waterproofing treatments and assistance in waterproofing applications and work.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Waterproofing & Concrete work
• Perform Leak Investigations, Water testing & repairs for water infiltration
• Install waterproofing treatment using equipment in accordance with established procedures and practices
• Assist in waterproofing application and work with a range of waterproofing chemicals and coating products
• Perform minor exterior repairs for concrete, masonry, sealant, and waterproofing issues on buildings and parking structures
• Access to work areas may require the use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, ladders, or bosun chair, to reach great heights inside and outside of buildings under construction. Training will be provided
• Perform integrity testing and troubleshooting testing to identify any breeches or defects in the project’s existing waterproofing membrane/coatings
• Ensure all tools, supplies, and equipment are in working order, and arrange for replacements as necessary
• Adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including building, trade, fire, and construction codes, as well as company policies.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High degree of physical fitness and endurance to complete physical aspects of the job, including the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25kg
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation to complete tasks without direct supervision
• Execute professionalism in waterproofing works
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Flexibility to work extended and non-standard hours as required
• Valid driver’s license will be advantageous
• Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing and coatings materials a plus.

Education And Experience

• 0-3 years of experience in waterproofing or related field
