Job summary

Apple is seeking an Automation Engineer for the Apple Watch team to rapidly contribute to automated UI testing across watchOS and other Apple operating systems. You will help plan testing strategies, triage results, and ensure product quality before shipping.

The role requires strong programming skills in Python, Swift, and Bash, experience with Git, and familiarity with XCTest or similar UI automation frameworks. You will collaborate across teams to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Strong programming skills in Python, Swift, and Bash.
Experience with Git and codebase management.
Excellent knowledge and experience with test methodologies (unit/integration/performance/functional).
Experience in developing test strategies, including plans, cases, tools, and architectures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and expand automated UI testing for watchOS.
Drive testing capabilities for all Apple OSes and triage results to find bugs before release.
Plan and shape upcoming products with high-quality software delivery in mind.
Collaborate with development teams, management, and other Apple organizations to ensure reliability.
