Onyx Point, Inc. seeks a Watch Desk/Systems Engineer Level 3-FFLL-8957 to monitor and manage complex Linux-based systems in a 24x7 environment. An active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and U.S. citizenship is required.

Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Rancher, Elasticsearch, Redis, NiFi, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, virtualization, and monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus) is essential, along with strong documentation and incident-handling abilities.

Qualifications

• Linux and command-line proficiency.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and data-flow.
• Ability to follow and maintain SOPs and prioritize incidents.
• Ability to work independently in a 24×7 environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system health, availability, performance, and data pipelines.
• Investigate alerts and incidents.
• Perform authorized recovery actions.
• Elevate unresolved issues.
• Maintain tickets, shift logs, SOPs, metrics, and reports.
• Provide concise status updates and effective shift handoffs.
