Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to understand, troubleshoot and repair WWTP equipment.
• Basic welding skills, basic electrical repair capabilities, pipe fitting ability and knowledge of pneumatics.
• Will be required to obtain necessary related operator licenses as required by state or federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot and repair equipment within a Waste Water Treatment Facility to ensure proper treatment.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area and grounds.
• Operate DAF, clarifier and sludge press to produce high-quality effluent.
• Identify and repair abnormalities in machinery and pumps.
• Follow the preventive maintenance schedule and workload.
• Follow safety practices and use PPE to handle chemicals safely.
