Job summary

Wayne Farms in Dobson, NC is seeking a Wastewater Technician to monitor and maintain the biological wastewater system, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.

You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps and related equipment, measure chemicals, operate dewatering and feed systems, and keep the work area clean. Must have a high school diploma, NOCTI Level 1, a valid driver's license, and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass NOCTI Mechanical Level 1 required prior to applying.
• Valid Driver's License with safe driving record.
• Willing to pursue GA Waste Water Level III license (training/test).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial/commercial wastewater facility.
• Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in production environment.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wastewater system equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Measure and report variations in wastewater chemicals.
• Operate pumps, dewatering equipment, compressors, and chemical feed systems.
• Maintain housekeeping for tools, equipment, facilities and grounds.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
